Terms and Conditions

Service Call Fee:
The service call fee covers the technician’s visit to inspect and diagnose one appliance based on the symptoms reported by the customer and to provide a written estimate for repair, including parts (if required) and labor.

A separate service call fee applies to each appliance examined. The service call fee is non-refundable and must be collected prior to or at the time of the initial service visit.

Appointment Scheduling:
Appointments are scheduled within a four-hour arrival window based on technician availability. Appointments requiring installation of parts will not be scheduled until the necessary parts have been received.

Authorization to Perform Service:
By scheduling service and allowing the technician to begin work, the customer authorizes JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC to diagnose and repair the appliance and agrees to pay for all diagnostic services, labor, parts, and applicable service fees associated with the repair.

Estimates:

All estimates provided by JumpStart Appliance Repair are based on the initial inspection and the symptoms reported at the time of service. The final repair cost may change depending on parts required or additional issues discovered during repair. Any changes to the estimate will be communicated to the customer for approval before additional work is performed.

Completion of Work:
Upon completion of service, the customer acknowledges that the technician has completed the diagnostic and/or repair services described on the work order and confirms that the appliance was operational at the time service was performed, unless otherwise documented.

Payment Terms:
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance. Customers agree to pay all charges associated with the service, including diagnostic fees, service call fees, labor, parts, and applicable taxes.

Any unpaid balance will be subject of a late fee of $45 per month or 1.5% of the outstanding balance (18%APR), whichever is greater, applied to all overdue balances until paid in full.

A fee of $35 will be charged for any returned or declined check or credit card payment.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes:
Customers agree not to initiate a credit card chargeback or payment dispute for services that have been performed and accepted. Initiating a chargeback after services have been completed may be considered non-payment of services rendered.

Any unpaid balance resulting from a chargeback may be subject to collection efforts and legal action. Customers agree to pay any associated collection costs, court costs, and attorney’s fees were permitted by law.

Warranty:
JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC provides a limited labor warranty of ninety (90) days covering defects in workmanship only.

Parts installed during repair are covered solely by the manufacturer’s warranty, which typically ranges from thirty (30) to ninety (90) days depending on the manufacturer.

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by rodents, pests, insects, or other animals
• Damage caused by power surges, misuse, neglect, or improper installation
• Failures unrelated to the original repair
• Additional repairs required due to new or recurring issues
• Incidental or consequential damages

Rodent and Pest Damage:
Damage caused by rodents or pests is not covered under any labor warranty. Any future damage caused by rodents or pests will require additional repair services and parts at the customer’s expense.

Cancellation Policy:
When an appointment is scheduled, time is reserved for a technician to perform service. If an appointment is missed, canceled, or changed without at least eight (8) business hour's notice, JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the service call fee.

Damage Waiver – Appliance Movement
Moving appliances may involve risk of damage to flooring, cabinetry, countertops, walls, or the appliance itself. Technicians are not obligated to move appliances. If the technician agrees to move an appliance, the customer accepts all associated risks and agrees to hold JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC harmless for any resulting damage except in cases of gross negligence.

Water and Plumbing Risk Waiver:
Appliances connected to plumbing systems carry inherent risks of leaks or flooding due to component failure or existing plumbing conditions. Except in cases of proven gross negligence, JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC shall not be held responsible for damage resulting from water leaks or flooding.

Refrigeration and Cooling Equipment:
Refrigeration equipment contains complex components that may fail unexpectedly. Repair attempts may not restore equipment to full functionality. JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC shall not be responsible for food spoilage, inconvenience, or loss resulting from refrigeration failures.

Glass Cooktop Service:
Glass or ceramic cooktops may break during service due to adhesive bonding or structural weakness. Customers acknowledge this risk and agree that JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC shall not be responsible for breakage that occurs during reasonable service attempts.

Installation Services:
Standard appliance installation includes removal and installation of appliances without modification of cabinetry, flooring, plumbing systems, electrical systems, or ventilation systems.

JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC does not install or modify building utilities such as electrical supply, gas supply, water supply, drainage systems, or ventilation systems unless specifically stated.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all utilities and installation conditions meet applicable building codes and are properly prepared.

If installation cannot proceed due to improper preparation or utility issues, the standard service call fee will apply.

Acceptance of Terms:
By scheduling service and allowing a technician from JumpStart Appliance Repair LLC to perform diagnostic or repair services, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions of Service.
